Life in the Bungalow: Tree lighting

The Friday after Thanksgiving my best friend Christina, her daughter (my niece) and I went to the tree lighting in downtown Portland. This has become a tradition over the last couple years. Usually there are more of us, but our husbands decided to skip out as did our other friends that usually go with. Thankfully it did not rain and wasn't even that cold this year. We did go last year because it was pouring!! We were worried this year would be crazy because of all the Occupy Portland but they didn't cause too many problems. You could tell the police were anxious, they were EVERYWHERE!! We did have fun though. After the lighting we went to The Original for poutine and Voodoo for doughnuts! Very good evening!! And great way to start the holiday season!!
